Eliquis

Eliquis, also known under the generic name apixaban, is a popular anticoagulant medication used to prevent blood clots and reduce the risk of stroke by inhibiting the factor Xa. It's most often prescribed to people who have been diagnosed with A-fib or who have recently undergone knee or hip replacement surgery. Both brand and generic Eliquis come with the usual blood thinner side effects, like easy bruising, bleeds taking longer to stop, and bleeding from the nose or gums.
