Tribenzor (olmesartan/amlodipine/hydrochlorothiazide) is prescribed to treat hypertension. Hypertension is another word for high blood pressure. Blood pressure is the force of the blood against the walls of your blood vessels and when that force is high, it causes your heart to have to work harder which can cause damage. A big factor of high blood pressure is narrow blood vessels; when blood vessels are narrow, less blood can flow through, which makes blood flow less smoothly. If hypertension goes untreated for too long, a person risks health conditions such as heart attack, stroke, and kidney problems.

Tribenzor (olmesartan/amlodipine/hydrochlorothiazide) is effective at treating high blood pressure because of its 3 abilities made possible by the active ingredients. First, it is able to prevent the body from taking in too much salt which can cause fluid retention, a leading reason of hypertension (hydrochlorothiazide). It helps keep the blood vessels from becoming narrow, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow (olmesartan). Finally, this medication is able to widen blood vessels by relaxing them, which also helps with blood flow (amlodipine).
