Description

What is Toviaz used for?

Toviaz is prescribed to treat symptoms of an overactive bladder (OAB). An overactive bladder is a condition in which the bladder muscles contract uncontrollably and cause urinary urgency (the need to urinate right away), urinary frequency (having to urinate more often), or urge incontinence (leaking or wetting caused by an unstoppable urge to urinate). This medication reduces spasms of the bladder muscles.

You can buy Toviaz online at My Drug Center. We currently do not have the Toviaz generic available for purchase.

How does Toviaz work?

Toviaz is an oral medication that contains the active ingredient Fesoterodine Fumarate; it belongs to a special subgroup of anticholinergics called genitourinary antispasmodics. The Fesoterodine Fumarate works by blocking acetylcholine, a chemical in your body that sends signals to your bladder to contract. By preventing the contraction, this will reduce the feeling that you have to urinate numerous times a day and during the night as well as the urgent feeling that you must urinate right away.

Before taking Toviaz, read all the instructions and paper work that given to you by your pharmacist. Take your Toviaz dosage orally once a day. Make sure you take it at the same time each day to create a routine for yourself and to ensure an even spread of the Fesoterodine Fumarate dosage in your system. This medication should be taken on a regular basis to have optimal results. The Toviaz dosage that you take will depend on your condition and your age. Take this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not change or increase your dose.

Your doctor may start you off at a low dose of Toviaz and gradually have you increase your dose to help prevent side effects and to ensure a safe and effective treatment with this medication.

Cautions

Toviaz may contain medical and non medical ingredients that could cause an allergic reaction. This drug can interact with several other medications, so it is important that you take it as is prescribed. You should always tell your doctor about any prescription, non-prescription, illegal, and recreational drugs; herbal remedies; and nutritional and dietary supplements you're taking. You should not suddenly stop taking this drug or change your dosage without consulting your doctor first. Stopping this medication suddenly can cause unwanted side effects.

While taking this medication, you may feel dizzy, get dry eyes, constipation, and headaches. Avoid driving a vehicle or operating heavy machinery until you feel it is safe. Alcohol and Cannabis can exasperate these side effects. Additionally you can speak with your doctor about acceptable limits for these substances while taking Toviaz.
