Description

What is Tenoretic prescribed for?

Tenoretic is used to treat high blood pressure, which is also known as hypertension. If someone has high blood pressure, it means that their heart is working harder than it should to pump blood around the body. If this continues for a long time, the heart and arteries may not function properly. This could result in damaged blood vessels of the brain, heart, and kidneys which could result in a stroke, heart failure, or kidney failure.

You can buy Tenoretic (Atenolol/Chlorthalidone) online at My Drug Center. We currently do not have the Tenoretic generic alternative available for purchase.

How does Tenoretic work?

Tenoretic is an oral medication that contains a combination of the active ingredients Atenolol and Chlorthalidone. Atenolol belongs to a class of drugs known as beta blockers, which works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals in your body, such as epinephrine, on the heart and blood vessels. This effect lowers the heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on the heart. Chlorthalidone is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that helps prevent your body from absorbing too much salt, which can cause fluid retention.

Before taking Tenoretic, read all the instructions and paper work that given to you by your pharmacist. Take your Tenoretic dosage orally once a day. Make sure you take it at the same time each day to create a routine for yourself and to ensure an even spread of the Atenolol/Chlorthalidone dosage in your system. This medication should be taken on a regular basis to have optimal results. The Tenoretic dosage that you take will depend on your condition and your age. Take this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not change or increase your dose. You should continue taking this medication even if you feel well.
