Description

What is Tazorac Gel used for?

Tazorac Gel is used to treat plaque psoriasis and acne vulgaris. Plaque psoriasis is a long-term skin disease in which the skin cells grow faster than normal. This abnormal growth causes a build of cells on the surface of the skin. Acne vulgaris is a skin condition that is common in adolescents, and usually gets better overtime. It is a skin condition that occurs when oil and dead skin cells plug up hair follicles.

It may also be used to treat the symptoms of premature skin aging caused by sun exposure, such as fine wrinkles on the face, mottled light and dark skin patches on the face, and benign facial lentigines (non-cancerous freckles).

You can buy Tazorac Gel (Tazarotene) online at My Drug Center. We also have the Tazorac Gel generic, called Tazarotene Gel, available for purchase as well.

How does Tazorac Gel work?

Tazorac is a topical medication that contains the active ingredient Tazarotene, which belongs to a class of drugs called retinoids. When applied as directed, Tazorac Gel can reduce skin inflammation and other skin changes. The Tazarotene dosage in the medication increases the skin cell turnover rate so old cells are removed faster and avoid the buildup that causes blocked pores and raised patches of skin. As a result, skin is able to renew itself more quickly which may imporove the appearance and texture of the skin.

Before taking Tazorac Gel or the Tazarotene generic, read all the instructions and paper work that given to you by your pharmacist. Cleanse your face before applying the medicine. You can then use a moisturizer, if your doctor recommends one. Apply moisturizer at least one hour before using Tazorac. Next, spread a pea-sized amount of the Tazorac Gel dosage over the entire area of your face where you have acne. Make sure you use it at the same time each day to create a routine for yourself and to ensure an even spread of the Tazarotene dosage in your system. This medication should be used on a regular basis to have optimal results. The Tazorac Gel dosage that you take will depend on your condition and your age. Use this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not change or increase your dose. You should continue taking this medication even if you feel well.

Avoid getting the medicine in your mouth, eyes, or eyelids, or on healthy skin areas. If this happens, rinse the area right away with water.
