Requip XL s used to treat symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Parkinson’s disease (Parkinsonism) is marked by the presence of certain recognizable symptoms such as: uncontrollable shaking or tremor, lack of coordination, and speaking difficulties. Ropinirole is also used to treat restless legs syndrome (RLS). Restless legs syndrome is a disorder that causes an overwhelming urge to move the legs, usually to alleviate unpleasant sensations. Parkinson's and RLS are two separate disorders. Having one of these conditions will not cause you to have the other condition.
You can buy Requip XL(Ropinirole) online at My Drug Center. We have the Requip generic alternative, called Ropinirole, available for purchase as well.
Requip XL is an extended-release oral medicine that contains the active ingredient Ropinirole. Ropinirole is a dopaminergic agent and it has some of the same effects as dopamine, a naturally occurring chemical found in your body. Low levels of dopamine in the brain are associated with Parkinson's disease. When taken as directed, Requip XL works by imitating the effects of dopamine, a neurotransmitter that relays signals between nerve cells. Your brain needs these chemicals to help your body run smoothly and they also affect moods, sleep, and concentration.
Only immediate-release Requip is approved to treat either Parkinson symptoms or RLS. Extended-release Requip XL is approved only to treat Parkinson symptoms.
