Description

Prevident Booster Gel is a medical mouth and throat product consisting of fluoride. We carry the brand choice of this medication in 1%.

Prevident Booster Gel is used to help prevent tooth decay in at risk patients including those who undergo radiation of the head and/or neck which can result in dry mouth and increased risk of tooth decay. People who are at risk for tooth decay are those who have weakened tooth enamel. Tooth enamel is one of four major tissues that make up the tooth. Enamel becomes weak when the acids in plaque on the teeth dissolve, resulting in cavities (holes in the teeth), another name for tooth decay. Plaque is created when food containing carbohydrates (sugars and starches), such as breads, cereals, milk, soda, fruits, cakes, or candy, is left on the teeth. This is why it is important to brush your teeth twice a day.

Prevident Booster Gel is effective at preventing tooth decay/cavities because fluoride is a substance that strengthens enamel.
