Description

Pred Mild are corticosteroid eye drops made up of prednisolone. We carry this medication in both the brand choice and generic alternative in 0.12%!

Pred Mild eye drops are used for certain eye conditions or injuries that cause inflammation. Such as allergies, severe acne, shingles, chemical burns, or other certain conditions. It may also be used to prevent inflammation of the cornea from occurring when being treated with the medication cytarabine.

Pred Mild eye drops are effective at treating inflammation as they are capable of clearing up symptoms such as swelling, redness, and itching.

Ensure you follow directions given to you by your doctor. If you forget, directions can usually be found on your prescription label.

Do not wear contact lenses when administering the eye drops. Do not use more eye drops than prescribed. If you use this medication for longer than 10 days, you may need to get frequent vision tests to monitor the pressure in your eyes. Store this medication at room temperature in an upright position. Do not freeze this medication.

Applying the eye drops

  • Shake the bottle before use
  • Tilt your head back
  • Look upward
  • Form a pouch by pulling down on your lower eye lid
  • Hold dropper above eye; apply 1 drop into the pouch
  • Look down and gently close your eyes for 1 – 2 minutes

Cautions

Do not use Pred Mild Eye Drops (prednisolone)

This medication should not be used by those who have an eye infection including those with herpes simplex.

This medication is not approved for those under the age of 18 years old.

Dose adjustment or special precautions may be required

To ensure this medication is safe for you, tell your doctor if you have ever had glaucoma or cataracts.

Risks

It is not known if this medication will harm an unborn baby. Consult your doctor if you become pregnant while using this medication.

You should avoid breast feeding while using this product. Consult your doctor to learn more about the risks and benefits of breastfeeding while using Pred Mild eye drops.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Pred Mild eye Drops (prednisolone) may include:

mild stinging, burning, or irritation in your eyes.

The above side effects should not alarm you.

Serious side effects of Pred Mild eye Drops (prednisolone) may include:

blurred vision, tunnel vision, eye pain, or seeing halos around lights; small white or yellow patches on the surface of your eye; or pain behind your eyes.

Can children use this medication?

No. This medication is not approved for those who are younger than 18 years old.
