Description

What is Mirvaso Gel used for?

Mirvaso Gel is used to treat a certain skin disorder called rosacea. Rosacea causes long-term inflammation of the cheeks, nose, chin, forehead, and/or eyelids, with increased redness or acne-like eruptions in these areas of the face.  Mirvaso Gel is not a cure for this condition, but it reduces the symptoms of rosacea such as inflammation and redness of the skin.

You can buy Mirvaso Gel (Brimonidine) online at My Drug Center. We currently do not have the Mirvaso Gel generic available for purchase.

How does Mirvaso Gel work?

Mirvaso Gel is a topical medication that contains the active ingredient Brimonidine; it belongs to a class of drugs known as alpha agonists. When applied as directed, Mirvaso Gel will work by stimulating the alpha receptors found on the muscle of blood vessel walls in the skin of your face. This will result in the blood vessels narrowing and reducing facial redness as the blood flow decreases.

Before taking Mirvaso Gel, read all the instructions and paper work that given to you by your pharmacist. Apply and rub in a thin film of the topical gel twice daily, morning and evening, to the entire affected area after washing. For some strengths of Brimonidine topical, your doctor may advise you to apply a thin film once daily to the affected area.

Make sure you take it at the same time each day to create a routine for yourself and to ensure an even spread of the Brimonidine dosage in your system. This medication should be applied on a regular basis to have optimal results. The Mirvaso Gel dosage that you use will depend on your condition and your age. Use the Mirvaso Gel dosage exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not change or increase your dose without consulting your doctor first.

Mirvaso Gel may contain medical and non medical ingredients that could cause an allergic reaction. Be sure to discuss other medical conditions, known allergies, and list any over-the-counter or prescription medications, and herbal products you are currently taking.

Side Effects
