Description

What is Lamisil Once (Terbinafine) prescribed for?

Fungal infections are a common occurrence throughout the natural world. And within humans, a fungal infection occurs when an invading fungus takes over an area of the body and becomes too much for the immune system to handle. The fungus can live in anything, the air, soil, water, and in plants, as well as humans. And when in humans, in can lead to skin problems like rashes and bumps. Terbinafine, the active ingredient in Lamisil Once, is used to treat athlete’s foot. This medicine is what is known as an antifungal. Taking this medication will ultimately stop the growth of the fungus.

This medication comes in the singular strength of 1%. Remember, your dose is based on your medical background and your overall response to the treatment. This medication is to be used on the skin only. Clean and dry the affected area. Then apply a thin layer of the medication on and around the affected area. After spreading the formula onto the skin, a invisible film forms. And it is this film that allows the active ingredient, Terbinafine, to continuously fight the infection of an extended period of days. You do not need to apply any additional product.

This medication is usually used once or as directed to you by your doctor.  While most other treatments take multiply applications, this is only to be applied once, and it has a very short treatment time.

After use, wash your hands. And do not cover, wrap, or bandage the affected area unless otherwise told to do so by your doctor.

The dosage is based on your medical condition, and your response to the treatment. Do not apply this more often or use longer then directed. It may cause a increase in the risk of side effects.
