Description

Hytrin is an oral capsule made up of an alpha-adrenergic blocker called terazosin. We carry this medication in both the brand choice and generic alternative! Hytrin/terazosin is available for purchase in 1mg, 2mg, 5mg, and 10mg!

Hytrin is a high blood pressure medication. High blood pressure is a very common condition where the long-term force of the blood hitting the artery walls is strong enough that it may cause health problems such as heart attack and stroke, or even kidney problems. Having too much fluid (enema) in your body or swollen and narrow arteries or vessels can cause high blood pressure.

Terazosin is effective in lowering blood pressure due to its relaxing affect on the blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily. It also allows the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck to relax, allowing for easier urination. This is beneficial as you can reduce the fluid in your body thus reducing blood pressure, however, because of this ability, Hytrin can also be used to improve urination in men with enlarged prostate.

Your doctor will tell you before prescribing you Hytrin (terazosin) exactly how to take this medication. Follow his or her directions, they can usually be found on the prescription label if you forget.
