Anafranil SR is used to treat symptoms in people with OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). Uncommon but serious side effects include glaucoma, hepatitis causing jaundice (yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes), and light colored urine, urinary retention, oedema (generalized swelling), hair loss, blood disorders (which might result in persistent sore throat, fever or frequent infections, unexplained bruising or bruising more easily).
