Description

Amerge, also known generically as naratriptan, is a antimigraine agent. Amerge comes in a small tablet, green or white in color. We carry both Amerge and its generic alternative, naratriptan, both of which work equally effective. Naratriptan comes in 2.5mg while Amerge comes in 1mg and 2.5mg.

Amerge is prescribed to adults who suffer from migraines. Migraines are like severe headaches, they can last for a couple hours to a few days and fall into a moderate / severe level of pain. A person with migraines may experience (only while a migraine is occurring) headache pain, sensitivity to light and noise, nausea and/or vomiting.

Amerge works by reducing the substances in your brain that cause the symptoms of a migraine.

Always follow directions given to you by your doctor. You can also view the directions on the prescription label.

Take Amerge as soon as you notice the symptoms of a migraine beginning.

Take 1 tablet whole with water.

Call your doctor before taking a second one if the first one did not work. Ensure there is a 4 hour interval in-between first and second tablet.

Do not exceed more than 5mg in 24 hours.
