What is Abilify prescribed for?

Abilify is used predominantly for the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder but can also be used as an add-on treatment for major depressive disorder, tic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD), and irritability associated with autism. This medication can help decrease hallucinations and help you think more clearly and positively about yourself, reduce agitation, and take more active part in everyday life.

How does Abilify work?

Abilify contains the active ingredient Aripiprazole, which belongs to a class of drugs called antipsychotics. It’s not known how Aripiprazole works exactly, but it’s thought that it helps regulate the amount of certain chemicals in your brain such as dopamine and serotonin. Managing the levels of these chemicals may help control certain conditions.

Abilify dosage are in oral tablets in the following strengths: 2mg, 5mg, 10mg, 15mg, 20mg, and 30mg. The Abilify generic is also available and it is called Aripiprazole – the active ingredient in Abilify. The Aripiprazole generic may not available in all Abilify dosage tablets. You can buy Asacol medication to be used alone or in combination with other medications to treat mental conditions.

Swallow the tablets whole; do not break, crush, or chew them. Abilify (Aripiprazole) can be administered with or without a meal. Make sure you take Abilify at the same time each day to create a routine for yourself and to ensure an even spread of medication in your system. For optimal results take this medication on a regular basis. Do not change or increase your dose. You should continue taking this medication even if you feel well.

Abilify (Aripiprazole) oral tablet is used for long-term treatment. The dosage your doctor prescribes you depends on multiple factors such as: the severity of your condition, your age, the form of Abilify you take, your medical history.

Abilify oral tablet can interact with several other medications, so it is important that you take it as is prescribed. You should not suddenly stop taking this drug or change your dosage without consulting your doctor first. Stopping this medication suddenly can cause unwanted side effects such as facial tics, uncontrolled speech, or uncontrolled shaking.

Your abilify or Aripiprazole dosage may contain medical and non medical ingredients that could cause an allergic reaction. Consult with your doctor about any known allergies before taking Abilify. Speak with your doctor about any known medical conditions relating to problems with blood flow to the brain, diabetes, heart problems, problems with your nervous system problems, low white blood cell count, problems swallowing, and troubles breathing while asleep. Tell your doctor about any current medications or supplementation to avoid interactions or unwanted side effects of Aripiprazole.

Alcohol and Cannabis can exasperate these side effects. Additionally you can speak with your doctor about acceptable limits for these substances while taking Abilify.

There may be a higher risk of drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, confusion, tardive dyskinesia, and problems swallowing in older adults. These Abilify side effects could increase the chances of having a damaging fall.

Taking Abilify may cause you sweat less, and could put you at risk for heat stroke. Keep out of the sun and hot areas. Try to reduce hard physical work or over excreting yourself with exercise. What is Abilify?

Abilify is a prescription medication which is administered orally in tablet form. Each Abilify tablet contains aripiprazole, an antipsychotic drug. Each Abilify tablet is color coated to help distinguish between their variety of 6 different strengths, which range between 2mg and 30mg.

What is Abilify used for?

Abilify is most commonly used for patients with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. However, some doctors may prescribed Abilify as an additional medication to treat disorders like obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), tic disorders (such as Tourette's disorder), and major depressive disorder.

What does Abilify do?

The exact mechanism of action for Abilify (aripiprazole) is unknown; however, doctors do have a good idea as to what it does that makes Abilify therapeutically effective. Within these mental health disorders, dopamine and other similar hormones and neurotransmitters are thought to be out of balance, resulting in the symptoms seen in these disorders. Abilify is thought to restore these chemical imbalances.

How long does it take for Abilify to work?

Unfortunetly, it is difficult to accurately say when it will start working as many factors play into how long it takes to work. Therefore, for some it may take a few days, where for others it could take a few weeks. However, the full effect of the drug isn’t likely to occur until 4-6 weeks into treatment.

What is good about Abilify?

Abilify has been noted to have a lower rate of adverse metabolic effects compared to other antipsychotic medications, as well as a higher remission rate, according to studies of Dr. Young Sup Woo. Additionally, Abilify has a generic alternative available for patients, which allows the same therapeutic effect as Abilify at a reduced cost.

Why is Abilify so expensive?

Abilify can be an expensive medication in the United States, for a few different possible reasons. However, Abilify can be found at a much lower cost in other countries around the world. When you order through our certified online Canadian Pharmacy, you can find the same brand name medication at an affordable price.

How long does Abilify stay in your system?

With a half-life of 75 hours, after your last dose of Abilify, it will take roughly 15.5 days for it to clear out of your system.
